Hi, my name is Jamie Dalgetty, and I’m proud to call Guelph, Ontario home. After living here for more than 25 years, I’ve grown to love everything that makes this city and community so special. My wife and I are raising two energetic boys who keep life busy, fun, and full of purpose.
Outside of work, I’m an active part of Guelph’s running and Ultimate Frisbee communities — you’ll often find me out on the trails or fields connecting with others who share a passion for staying active and enjoying the outdoors.
My professional background is rooted in digital marketing and publishing, where I’ve spent much of my career building and growing successful online ventures. That experience taught me how to analyze information, adapt quickly, and deliver solutions that truly meet people’s needs. Those same skills now guide my work as The Local Broker, where I focus on helping individuals and families navigate one of the most important financial decisions of their lives — securing a mortgage or refinancing their home.
In addition to my work with The Local Broker, I also spend time in local schools as an occasional supply teacher across Guelph and Wellington County. Working with children and families in the education system has been deeply rewarding and keeps me grounded in the values of patience, understanding, and community trust — all qualities I bring to my work helping clients find the right lending solutions.
